The show took place from June 25th to 27th 2004 in the wonderful CORONA HOTEL in Cologno Monzese (MI) whereas the prize-giving show took place at the BLUE NOTE in Milan, club of the legendary New York jazz club chain where all the most great musicians of our time played. All the shows were filmed by a professional camera crew because a TV channel gave coverage to our event. The three finalists performed in the final Blue Note show before a very important audience: international guests of honor, internationally renowned musicians, producers, journalists and cognoscenti, as well as the television.
The Absolute First Prize was awarded to the French group Quatour Caliente.

Great interest in the internationally renowned guests that were a delightful accompaniment to the evening at the Blue Note in Milan: Peter Soave (Italian-American concert performer, judged as one of the best bandoneonist in the world), Nando de Luca (pianist) with his trio, the Espace Temps (French saxophonist quartet), the trombonist Mr. T-Bone and the String Quartet with Roberto Salvalaio.
